I recall reading somewhere that the 3 finger triple tap for the screen curtain has been moved to the 3 finger quadruple tap. The 3 finger triple tap mutes/unmutes speech, and I don't recall what the 3 finger double tap does now, but it is one of the new features/enhancements in iOS 6.
