Like I stated in a previous message, the screen curtain was announced, but did
not actually work. The same was true for the two-finger double-tap to end a
call. As I also stated, turning my iPhone off and back on resolved the
problems. My supposition is that, because I did an over-the-air upgrade, some
memory artefacts were left which the shut-down restart cleared away. I have
seen such behaviour before from other products which use on-device upgrading
rather than completely rebuilding the OS. I have even seen it in Windows, which
is why techies recommend full installs rather than upgrades for major system
updates.
