I personally use Dropbox to transfer files to my phone, and even transfer some files from my phone to my computer. The only exception to this is with music files. Even though you can play music files straight from the Dropbox app, you can not add files to the music app on your phone. The only way I know that you can do this is by using iTunes. I love Dropbox, it is very easy to use and is very accessible, allows you to access your files from anywhere, and it has a free version.
