Hi Anna,
Thank you for the tip. I just checked this out and found that going to the
app or the folder containing it really does give me the percentage as you
said it would. I'm beginning to think that I like the old app store
behavior a bit better in that after initiating an update, I'd leave the app
store and be placed on the screen containing the app or folder. .
Thanks again.
Tom

Hi Tom,
You can exit the app store and find the app or the folder containing the
app, and VO will tell you the progress of the update.

Hi,
I have mixed feelings about how the app store operates when updating apps.
On one hand, I like the way I'm left in the app store after tapping an
update buttton. On the other hand, though, I'm not happy about not seeing
the download percentage. If it's a major update, the percentage indicator
really gives me a rough idea of how long the update might take. Oh, and
this is sort of a nit, once the update button is tapped, VO doesn't tell
me when the status changes to Open.

Tom and Others,
I like to look at the new features for an App before performing an update.
In IOS6, that information is further down the page. What I have
discovered is that by changing the Rotor Setting to Headings, I can flick
down with one finger by heading and find the information very easily.
With IOS6 out, numerous apps will need to be updated, and this is a handy
way to find out new features before performing these updates.

I just updated apps with IOS 6. I liked how I didn't have to enter my
password. I also liked how it stayed on the update screen, instead of
bouncing me back to the home pages.
