Where is that button? Is it along the right side as the downloading dimmed
button?

Yes, I can duplicate this. Just done 3 updates to my apps, iBooks, 
Facebook and Twitter, and I was not aware they were all updated until I 
noticed the open button in all 3 apps. Thanks for the workaround.
