As noted yesterday, this behavior is exactly what happens in Safari when you are in the list of open tabs that comes up after you hit the button that says pages. Except the Safari one is even worse, because sometimes voiceover announces something but that's not what gets focus. So you end up deleting something that you didn't mean to delete and really did want to open. Nonetheless, I wonder if this is a deliberate change. As long as you keep deleting messages and don't move to anything else, such as another message or one of the things on the bottom of the screen like the compose button for instance, messages will just keep deleting. Just like the tabs in Safari. This behavior in Safari is present in iOS 10. I'm just wondering if Apple really consider this to be a bug. Mary
