Hi Terri,

There is an iPhone 5S and there is an iPhone SE, but there is no iPhone 5SE.
If you ever have a sighted person around and the phone is out of the case you
could ask somebody to look at the back of the phone. All iPhones have model
numbers which start with an "A" and then are followed by 4 numbers. Below is a
list of the model numbers for the 5S and also the iPhone SE.
Really you only need to pay attention to the first two numbers, if your phone
model starts with A14 or A15 it is an iPhone 5S (first released in the fall of
2013).
If your model number starts with A16 or A17 you have an iPhone SE (first
released in March 2016). The SE looks the same as the 5S in size, but it has
the same processor as the iPhone 6S which was released in the fall of 2015, so
essentially it is two generations newer than an iPhone 5S although it does not
have 3D Touch and the Touch Id sensor is the same first generation sensor you
have in the 5S and 6 whereas the 6S has the slightly faster and more reliable
second generation fingerprint sensor.

iPhone 5S model numbers (on the back cover):
A1453, A1457, A1518, A1528, A1530, A1533

iPhone SE model numbers (on the back cover):
A1662, A1723, A1724

Regards,
Sieghard

Hello Mama Peach, Sieghard, and list,

I just wanted to thank you both for helping me. I really appreciate it.

Right now, I don't feel I need the pass code on. I rarely go to too many
places. When I do, my phone never leaves my side. So I think for now I am ok
without this.

Also, I am using a 5SE.

I hope this is helpful?

I will try to remember to mention this, when I write other messages.

And Sieghard, my texts were showing me just what you thought it was.
That was so very odd!

Thank you for helping me fix it. I don't feel like I am going crazy now.
LOL!

Terri!
