Hi,
I am also using an IPhone 6S with the latest iOS version and I have
not had this issue with the Uber app. I would take the considerations
of the other posters to lower screen brightness and confirm that your
flashlight is not on, but I would also consider having your battery
replaced. It sounds like the battery could be faulty. I had my battery
replaced a few months back as I found the battery to not be as long
lasting as I thought it should  and ever since then, my iPhone6s has
been working quite well.
