Ever since updating to iOS11 my battery status has been doing really strange things. I've seen the dramatic plunges in percentage though not to 0 in a matter of minutes. I have also seen strange bounces in battery percentage like 93% that suddenly plunges to 50 or less then shoots back to around 90 when the phone has not been plugged in or charged in any way. Often I can correct the behavior by powering down the phone, but it only fixes it for a time. I chalked it up to iOS11 but I don't know for sure. This is the first post I've seen from someone who also has been seeing this behavior.
