Two things to add to Kelly's solid points: 1. There is no one to call when you have Android issues, you are at the mercy of whatever store you bought it from and good luck there.
2. In my office, at least 6 years ago, our office switched from Blackberries, to iPhones for the 30 plus empoyees who need a mobile phone as part of their job. Many of these folks are less than technically inclined. No one has had issues like you are describing on any of their phones and everyone has had at least two iPhones in that time period. Have you taken any of these phones to Apple and what have they said could be the cause? In my household, we've gone through two iPhone 5s's that we had for almost 4 years, three iPod touches and two iPad mini's; and none of them had battery issues. They were replaced due to choosing to upgrade. Well, except for the first iPad Mini whose WiFi antenna died which Aple replaced at no charge. They replaced the device, not the antenna, and it was 3 months beyond the Apple Care coverage. Now, on to my nutral opinion of android, or perhaps not so nutral, grin. Very little is easy to do on an android compared to an iPhone. They have far fewer gestures, because you have to dive into menus to do many things which takes more steps than using the rotor. I teach both to people mostly over 55, and iPhones are significantly easier for people to learn. Did you bring your hardware problems to Apple so they could be addressed? Remember different Android companies have differently engineered phones. In 2016, some Samsung phones had exploding batteries. In 2017, Google XLII phones had ghosting issues on their screens. Everyone wants to claim they make a device as good as or better than Apple, but when these companies scale up production, their phones have problems. Then company executives refuse to answer questions, like with Google’s phones.
