Hi,
I've observed this on an iPhone 8Plus running the latest version of the
operating system. I find that if I insert a space after it makes the I'm out
of dictation ding it'll then read it to me. I can then either leave the
space or delete it as I wish. I don't like this problem but hate even more
when you enter dictation and VoiceOver feels the necessity to recite
sometimes a lengthy hint or the like and it ends up trying to dictate
itself, oy (smile).

For instance i use the linked in app a lot, and i'll hit the dictate
button and it makes the ding and i'll say what i have to, then double
tap again. My phone isn't repeating it back as it should. It seems
