Are those instructions for iTunes 12.whatever is the latest? I don't think it works quite like that now. You connect your phone, select it, tab to summary, type t o and tab to the list of tones on your device and paste the new tones in there. They will magically now be on your phone. No syncing required. So, it may depend on which version of iTunes you are using. HTH, Richard
