I have an iPhone 6 that will be sent into Apple for a battery replacement for the discount offer. I have to send it in because I live in northern Wisconsin and the nearest Apple Store is about 175 miles away.
I called into Apple (800-MyApple or 800-692-7753). The support associate asked that I turn off “Find My iPhone” so remote diagnostics could be run and he determined that the charge cycles had been exhausted and the only resolution was to have a new battery installed. I suggest you call into Apple and see if remote diagnostics reveals that your battery is likewise exhausted. If you are, like me, too far away from an Apple store you will be given the option of sending your iPhone 6 in to Apple for battery replacement. If you are fortunate enough to live relatively near an Apple store or certified repair center you will be able to take your iPhone to the nearest store or repair center and get the spent battery replaced for the discount price of $29.00.
