I believe it goes to the end of the year and I have no idea if Apple will replace the battery if it is still in very good shape, you would have to ask them.

The support associate asked that I turn off “Find My iPhone” so remote diagnostics could be run and he determined that the charge cycles had been exhausted and the only resolution was to have a new battery installed. I suggest you call into Apple and see if remote diagnostics reveals that your battery is likewise exhausted. If you are, like me, too far away from an Apple store you will be given the option of sending your iPhone 6 in to Apple for battery replacement. If you are fortunate enough to live relatively near an Apple store or certified repair center you will be able to take your iPhone to the nearest store or repair center and get the spent battery replaced for the discount price of $29.00.
