Hi. I went from a series 1 to a series 3 and the difference was huge. I was about to give up on the Apple watch because the series 1 had gotten soooo slow and bogged down but I decided to try the series 3 and I’m so very glad I did. Seriously, it’s a major upgrade from the 1 to the 3.

I think you can buy it now, of course nobody knows what will happen, but I doubt the watch will get a big upgrade if any in the fall and the series 3 is apparently very good. I bought a series 2 in October of 2016 and while it’s not bad, I find now after a year and a half it’s a bit slow. I did a reset and set it up as a new device and that helped a bit, but I must say I’m definitely not 100% satisfied with how snappy it is and from what I understand the series 3 is much more responsive which of course can be expected to a point.
