There is another way that I find very useful. At the middle of the bottom
(right by the home button) is the share button. This includes a choice to
copy. It copies the link and also the Actual name of the page. It can then
be pasted elsewhere.
But there are many other great choices in the Share menu. I like to save
the text of many articles so I can add them to my computer files. . I
usually make sure the Reader is activated and it will then save the link and
the whole article including the links on the page. I generally choose mail
and mail it to myself. The Subject and message area is already filled in. I
do have an ad blocker on my Safari so the ads don't show.
Just looking through the choices I discovered a choice to send it to my
Dropbox. It saved it as a pdf. Other choices include adding it to
Bookmarks, or Favorites, or to the home screen...
If you don't have the Reader activated (top left corner) then it just mails
or messages the link and page name. If the Reader is activated it mails the
whole article.

As mentioned, you can double tap on the link, then copy the address from
the address bar.
Or, if you stay on that page, you can also do this.
Double tap and hold on the link, a preview button will pop up. Flick up
with one finger until you hear preview actions, and if you swipe right,
you will find a copy button.
Hope this helps.

How does one copy a link on a web page in Safari on the iPhone or iPad? I
can do this easily on the Mac, but not on iPhone. Thanks.
