Do you mean you want to plug more devices into your router than it has ports?
If so just look for a 5-port or 8-port desktop switch which all companies make,
Linksys, D-Link, Netgear etc.
You use one of the ports of your router (most of them have 4 ports) and plug in
the desktop switch and then you have those 5 or 8 ports available (depending on
which one you buy). I have a Cisco 16-port small business switch at my store
which has 8 regular and 8 POE ports power over ethernet, those are ports used
for example if you have Ip phones which need the network connection but also
require power). Often you can power POE devices with a separate adapter, but if
you have POE ports on your router the CAD5E or CAD6 cable provides the power
for the device as well as the wired connection to your network

Here is one example:
NETGEAR 5-port Gigabit Desktop Switch in Metal Case - Essentials Edition (GS305)

Subject: WiFi ports

Hi, what solutions do people have when your router can no longer accept any
more pods/pads/phones/etc?

A device to hook to an rj45 port/socket would be good.

Thoughts please?

Tia, BobH.
