No, not done that with routers.  Sure someone suggested 6 wifi devices was set 
as a limit with some providers,  but we have 8 wifi 
hand-helds amongst us alone.  Echo now up to 4,  not sure about security 
cameras since i DON'T DEAL WITH THEM.  It's not difficult 
to see how the modern household soon gets cluttered with this stuff and so does 
the bandwidth requirement.

How many devices are you trying to connect? I think there is a better chance 
something is wrong with your router, have you done 
firmware updates and rebooted it?

i have heard that some routers have limits on how many wifi connections they 
can handle or assign details to, and we are failing to 
connect additional devices. Even domestic appliances are being fitted with wifi 
now for some reason.
