So, I just called the disability help line. They had me clear my history,
and it seems to be working fine now. Why this should affect things in the
past half-week, for multiple screen-reader users on different systems with
different browser preferences, I don't get; he said it may have something to
do with bookmarks being generated by your browser or something. I still
question why-now, and why so many people, but am glad that, at least for
now, I seem to be able to navigate Amazon again. So, see if clearing out
your browser history helps.

Good luck with that. I was trying to order a book last night using the
Amazon.com app on my IPhone. When I got to the Submit button, tappiing
it did nothing. I tried repeatedly for several minutes, then I called
the Disability Help Number. The whole experience was completely
unsatisfactory.
I understand that the people on the help line are not allowed to make
a purchase, and what I couldn't do was to get the Submit button to
work -- to make the purchase. I was simply asking for the person on
the phone to report the problem with using the app with VoiceOver.
HHe could see the item in my cart.
He couldn't figure out why I couldn't submit my order.
He refused to report the problem because he said he couldn't see what
the problem was.
The whole encounter was totally frustrating.
Then, after I hung up, he called me back to say he had figured out why
I couldn't submit my order. It was, he said, because the book was out
of stock for the next couple of days.
I already knew that, and that was not the issue, since I was simply
ordering the book which Amazon would deliver as soon as it came back
into stock, on August 25 I believe.
After that encounter, I tried one more time. I closed the app. I
opened the app, the book was still in my cart, I still couldn't make
the submit button work by tapping on it. I closed VoiceOver, then
turned it back on, and lo and behold, finally, the Place Order button
worked, and my order when through.
I found working with the HelpLine person more frustrating than dealing
with the problem that had led me to call.

Yes, yes. With plenty of perseverance I can use the app. However, if it
stays on the same trajectory, it will not be usable after a few more
updates. I tried to find an email address I could use to express my
displeasure to but could find nothing. This is an app that needs to remain
very accessible!

Has anyone noticed a big difference in finding products using the Amazon
app
on the iPhone? I'M not sure when it changed, but it has been within the

3 or 4 weeks. In the past, I was able to search for an item, and a long

of items would come up that I could scroll through by headings. Now, after

search, it may show 142 results, but I can only get through about 4 items
before I run into a back button. I can't seem to get past the first
