Craig, I went from a four years old iPhone 5 to an SE last year and have
no regrets. If you're used to the feel and layout of the iPhone 5, the
SE will fit perfectly into your life without a steep learning curve.
It's faster and the battery lasts longer. it's also a bit lighter and
thinner than the iPhone 5, but most iPhone cases designed for the 5 or
5S work fine with it.
I checked out the 6, 6S, 7 and 8 at the Verizon store and they were just
too big for me. I get it, sighted people like to watch things, but for
those of us with smaller hands, the SE is perfect.
Maybe it doesn't have some of the newest tech, but it gets the job
done. There's nothing I can't do with my current phone, so I'll
probably keep it until it can't be updated anymore or the battery gives out.
