Voice matching for security has been around for a few decades. However, it is a
very different technology. Security voice matching compares the tonal
frequencies and volumes of your voice with a security voiceprint on file to
ensure that both match. This is usually done with the person saying their full
name.

Speech recognition, on the other hand, is as general as possible to match with
the greatest number of people / accents. Though a system can run both, the
complexities switching between the two would be quite complex to initially sort
out. It is something which would most likely be better implemented on the
device itself. Then again, I am not an engineer, and I haven't researched
security voice matching for a few years.
