I live out on Long Island about 50 miles outside of New York city and have both available to me. Having said that while out on the island I tend to use Lyft 90 percent of the time as I find most quotes are less pricing wise. I have had a couple of issues with how a driver chose to drive a route or issues with being picked up and Lyft always handled them well and I was totally satisfied. Having said that and I am going to make a disclaimer here that I know the local neighborhood around where I work so I have no issue traveling to another point to be picked up. So to that point I work a couple of days a week in our Brooklyn office in New York City and within the 5 boroughs of NYC you have access to share a ride with another passenger to save money, however, Uber has an even more discounted share ride program called Uber Pool where you meet the driver sometime a block or two away and you save even more money . For example a typical normal Lyft / Uber ride to the Long Island Rail Road station is about $9.00 without sharing a ride. If you do Lyfts share ride it is like $5.00 and if you do the Uber Pool where you may walk a block or two away it is typically like $3.50 so in that instance and in the context of me knowing the neighborhood I would go with Uber.

I would greatly appreciate any feedback on everything from the VoiceOver accessibility and features of the iOS apps to your actual pickup and riding experience. Thank you so much.
