I could turn off VoiceOver for silence, but then the watch wouldn't
vibrate the time, right? I know how to silence it once it starts
talking, but at work I don't want the darned thing speaking unless spoken to.

However, this almost never happens as I have continued to practice
the time tap gesture.
Also, be aware that you can immediately silence VoiceOver by placing
your palm over the watch face.
I don't know if VoiceOver speech can be muted on the watch, however.

I have checked haptic in the settings, and sometimes when I double
