Hi All, I finally updated my IPhone 5s to the newest version of IOS. Doing this reinforced why I put it off as I had to go in & change a number of settings. Used to be when I wanted to delete text messages, I would tap the one I wanted to delete, swipe up for Delete then double tap to delete. Now I get a message asking me if I am sure I want to delete the text. How can I get rid of this prompt?
Secondly, now when I tap a text then swipe, I hear hide alert. I was hoping this would get rid of the are you sure prompt but it does not. I thought that maybe if I hide the alert, it would mean that I don't get notified if I get another text from that person. After double tapping to hide alert, when I touch that person, I hear muted. Yet I had someone text me, double tapped on hide alert & had them text me again & I did get the ding saying I had received a text. So does anyone know what hide alert does?
