Hi Sandy, After you delete a text message, do you get the prompt asking if you would like to delete this conversation, or something along that line? I'm running an S E iPhone with 12.1.2 and whenever I delete a text I get this prompt so I swipe right 1 time, double tap and that thread is gone not to return. Take care. Go Rams! Sent from my iBarstool. The probability of someone watching you is proportional to the stupidity of your action. ----- Original Message ----- From: Sandy Finley To: [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, January 23, 2019 7:04 AM Subject: Re: How to Get Rid of Prompt When Deleting Text & What Does Hide Alert Mean
Sherry, Hide Alert is supposed to get rid of the sound alerting you that a new message has come in. Perhaps when you changed the setting and still got the sound, you had the person re-text you too quickly for the change to take effect? I am speculating here. I have a different objection to the current texting configuration. If I delete a text Message and that person texts me again later, I get the entire conversation back. I really dislike this. If I have deleted it, I’ve done so for a reason and don’t want the entire message string to come back at me. Does anyone know how to change this?
