Well, I would never presume to tell someone else what features they can
and can't find convenient. I'd also never assume that only the features
I appreciate are the only features anyone else can enjoy. I'd never call
someone lazy because they take advantage of a feature that isn't
important to me. I'm perfectly happy with choice and letting people
choose and pay for the features they want. I'd let the market place
decide what customers want and don't want and wouldn't leave it up to
one or two people who think they know what's best for everyone.
I don't have an InstantPot, but I don't call someone lazy because they
find it easier to use an app then the controls on a pressure cooker. I
personally don't have a big need to control my lights from an app, but I
don't criticize those who do. I no longer consider myself lazy because I
use a remote to control my TV and home theater system even though I
could walk up to my TV and receiver and control everything from there. I
do think it would be nice to control my thermostat from an app or a
smart speaker, as well as monitor the progress of my clothes, and if
people want to call me lazy for doing that then I think that says more
about them then it does about my laziness.

I totally agree with Mary and other people that don’t have these
smart appliances.
It’s making you lazy when you aren’t doing like you did things back in
the day. It’s not going to hurt you to get off your rear and do the
stuff that need to be done. Everybody needs exercise.
Matt and I don’t have these smart appliances where the echo has to
be used in order for the appliances to perform. Both of us do our
daily tasks just fine.
