No, no face identification, touch ID and I, at some point, disabled the password, assuming the password is what I use for my Apple ID? Would that be correct, that my Apple ID password would be the password I use to protect my phone.
I'm very careful about keeping passwords stored in a safe place and I only have my Apple ID password there. For the most part 2-factor authentication just means that your Apple Id is protected with a second layer of security, e.g. the first time you sign in you are sent a code you have to enter after you enter your password. I just noticed that when I do an ICloud backup, my messages are not highlighted to back up. When I turned them on for back up, I got the message that I couldn't turn that feature on without first activating 2-factor authentication. I'm not sure why this is, but it is. My question is exactly how does 2-factor authentication work and how will it affect my turning on and off my mini IPad and IPhone?
