Sometimes the supplied ear plugs are exactly what we want. True, the
reason to get bone conduction headphones is to hear ambient sounds, but
there are times, when even a blind person want some passive noise
cancellation. providing the ear plugs makes the Trekz Titaniums just a
bit more versatile in my opinion, which is a good thing, especially when
people can't afford multiple headphones.

Yes, but I find the point where they are vibrating not pleasant and in

that as soon as you plug up your ears and shut out the ambient noise
you can hear them just fine and mine in fact came with a little
plastic box with a set of foam earplugs, but of course for us blind
folks that is exactly what we don’t want.

perhaps you are not placing the transducers properly. i have the
Trekz Airs and have also had the previous models. They can get very
loud, in fact, they can get to the point where they are vibrating on
your head. Also, you may need to turn up the source volume.

Hi Robin. I have a pair of aftershocks. They were the first pair
that I got years ago when they first came out. And what you
describe is what I have exspearinced as well. In this case the
aftershocks that I have go around the back of your neck and rest
below the ears. As you said I agree the volume is not lowd enough
to hear when walking in noisy places but I am not one to wair ear
buds or ear phones wile out walking anyways. I hope this helps.

Hi,
I’m looking for input from those who have used bone conduction
headphones. I recently ordered my first pair from Mystic Access
after hearing a podcast on them. I had been considering this
purchase for a while because my ears have been feeling sensitive
to having earbuds directly in my ears. I naively thought that
there really was something special to how the sound was conducted,
but my experience with these is similar to years ago when I used
to place my over the head padded headphones just in front of my
ears and turn up the volume. I am actually finding that the
volume on these is not loud enough to hear when I’m walking along
a traffic filled road. Is my experience similar to yours? At
this point, I’m really not finding them worth the investment and
glad I did not spend more on aftershokz. My ears have just felt
so sensitive to earbuds and I’m concerned about damaging my
hearing when I listened to stuff in noisy areas.
