I had a similar experience in the Chicago, Michigan Avenue store. In fact, the trainer who helped me learn to use my first phone was also blind.
We live between Chicago and St Louis. I also recently had a good experience in a St. Louis store. After receiving my SE a few weeks ago, we took it there to have them set it up for me, and transfer everything from my 5s to the Se. They were very helpful, and everything worked just fine when I got it home. They even introduced me to a trainer, in case I had any questions.
