Here is what Seigard sent me, when I first got my phone - could be this can help you:
Here is what Siegard sent me when I first got my iPhone, could be this is what you are needing: • • Moving Contacts or Apps – from Siegard on list • • 1. When on an app or contact to move, you want to move is to swipe down or up with one finger where Voiceover says “Editing Mode.” • 2. Then double tap, Voiceover says “started editing”. This basically replaces the double tap and hold. • 3. Next swipe down twice to “drag” followed by the name of the contact or app you want to move and double tap. • 4. Now go to where you want to put the contact or app whether it’s in a different position on the home screen, a different home screen or a folder. • 5. Put focus on the contact, folder or another app and swipe down again, you now have the following options: • 6. Drop contact/App Name before contact/AppName (or FolderName) (the first contact/AppName is the app you are dragging. • 7 The second is the contact/app or folder you are on. • 8. Swipe down again and you have Drop AppName after whatever contact/app or folder you are on • 9. Swipe down again and if you put focus on a contact or folder you hear “Drop AppName in whatever folder you are on. • • Whichever option you want to do, drop before, drop after or drop in a folder, just double tap when you get there and that’s it. When I got this, I did manage to get Contacts at the very top, but as I am trying before sending this, I am having a time of it moving Camera down to where I moved Photos, when I moved Contacts to the top and mail over to where Contacts had been. Anyway, it can be done on the iPhone too. When I got mine, I had concerns about that, because I did know it could be done on an Android. I have never come across a way to leave a blank space or line and never heard of one. As for quickly opening apps, yes, there is of course SIRI and if you know handwriting it is also a great way to get to an app relatively quickly and easily. It does involve one turn of the rotor when you touch the home screen and then of course a quick draw of a letter or two and, depending if that still results in more than one entry, you may have to flick down with 2 fingers until you find the app you want. I still do that to some extent. But since Siri can launch any app I want, and I think you can do that on your android as well, for me, placement of apps is way less important than it used to be.
