Why would anyone want blank spaces? I thought he just wanted to move apps.

I sent David a private message, because as far as I know, if I understand what you want to do, you can’t do it with iOS. You can’t arbitrarily leave blank spaces in the middle of the screen. You can’t drop something around which are blank spaces. If you can, I don’t know how to do it. And I don’t think I’m missing. For me, this is a total no biggie. But if it’s a big deal for you, OK.
