My theory has been for a while that Apple will stop supporting Windows. Sure, they may lose some sales of Apple Music and iPhones, but at some point, I figure they'll start thinking they'll make up those losses in more sales of the Mac. I think people will start buying Macs because they have iPhones and have bought into the Apple ecosystem instead of looking for phones that will work with their Windows PC's. I know my good friend Sieghard and I disagreed on this point a while ago, and so far he's been right, but I'm still thinking time will prove me right eventually!

Since they were specific about the Mac, and stated that this had
already pretty much been done in iOS, I'm sure the change will also
occur in windows. You'll probably buy ring tons through the App Store
or through the Music app, but probably the app store. What will
probably be gone is the ability to rip CD's which Itunes does now but
it makes no monehy for Apple.

From my understanding, Apple is killing iTunes. They have gradually been
replacing it with apps for downloading specific content such as music,
podcasts, etc. iTunes has been the program that folks love to hate, and
ever since Apple has offered the ability to download content via WIFI folks
just aren't using it. I have iTunes on my PC but for years the only thing i
have used it for was to make backups of my phone, and I will miss having
that ability, even though I guess you can use iCloud for that purpose.

   Subject: apple killing ITunes?

My wife saw/heard a news item this morning saying that apple planned to
kill off itunes. She didn’t know whether it was the phone app or windows
program. Anyone heard anything?
