Hi Cristóbal,
Wow, what a hassle you must go through when shopping with your mother! I'm one
of those who have to go to the store myself, and I do this at least once a
week! I have a hard time believing other shoppers would check the expiration
dates on my dairy products, such as checking the expiration dates on the eggs,
yogurt, milk, cheese etc, I want to know if the meat I am buying is either red
or brown, so I will know if it is fresh or if it has been sitting in a cooler
for a few days. I can't tell you just how many times, when I pick up eggs, or
yogurt, and I ask my shopper to check the expiration date, and sure enough it
is already two days pass the expiration date. I want to make sure to tell the
person who is cooking my fish or chicken to cook it well done. I have to feel
all the fruits I buy, I don't want rotten bananas, rotten grapes, rotten
tomatoes, mushie bread, etc. I just can't imagine anyone would go through all
that for someone else. I'm very particular when it comes to buying or picking
out my food. Although, I do have to admit, it is quite temting at times, to
just call someone and say hey can you pick this up for me. I also just have to
check and compare all the sale prices, as well as the sizes. Besides, I'm use
to doing all that, as I've done that most of my life with my mother, as a young
child! So, you stay home, and I will shop with your mother! Smile!

Janet

"Store to your Door"

You know, $100 a year be it for this or some other delivery service isn't that
bad a deal. That's less than $9 a month. That's probably way less than what
sighted people pay in gas just going for grocery runs. Not even considering the
added cost of owning a car. The payment itself, insurance, gas, and other stuff
like the actual time it takes to go shopping for food. My mother more often
than not asks me to tag along with her to Costco to help with the heavy stuff.
Because I try to be a good son, I go, but I make sure to let her know how much
of a hassle it is. I mean, you could go to Costco at 9:00 AM on a Tuesday
morning and that place is crazy packed as if they're giving away T-bone steaks
or something. It's horrible. From getting into the parking lot, finding a spot,
trying not to get hit by some distracted soccer mom in her massive SUV while
walking to the actual warehouse to fighting for a cart, doing the shopping,
getting in a long sucker line as if you're queuing for bread and going back out
into the lot to shove all that crap into the car to again unload at home. If
Shipt offered Costco as one of their options, forget me, I'd sign my mother up
to avoid that headache.

Cristóbal
