I sent out a warning about a scam which I will copy below. I failed to mention in the original message that this was on my landline and we do not pay for talking caller ID, which if I had, the list wouldn't have been cluttered with all the advice about not answering calls from unknown callers; which is a very good idea if you know it is an unknown caller.... Here is the text of what I had sent: Just received a recorded call from a person claiming to be a Kathy Jackson wanted to refund our technical support payment from a few months ago and gave a supposedly toll free number to call, even repeating the number: 844-640-0874. I highly suspect that calling that number would end in a large phone bill or worse. I have reported it to the National Do Not Call Registry. www.donotcall.gov which is of course a United States program. I just thought a heads up was in order.
