This never happened to me when I had Verizon, but then I recently updated to 12.4 and this might be another one of those odd misfires.

So it appears this is not a carrier issue unless multiple carriers have the same problem. Interesting that some of us seem to get a message not delivered notification but the message still went through. In my case, and I have checked probably 20+ occurrences, the message was never delivered. Now I just leave messages in the message app. If I try to send to someone that I have sent a message to in the past & the message is still in my message app, it always goes through. Also, several people have mentioned that they don’t have this problem if they don’t use Siri to send the message. In my case, I have always used Siri. I will have to try to type in a message to someone with an Android who has no message in my message app & see what happens. Today, I had Siri send the message, to someone in my contacts, and still got the error message. (don’t know yet whether recipient got the message sent today.) What’s up? Is this an issue with my carrier (Consumer Cellular) or the phone itself? Why would it fail to send if I had Siri do it?
