I have Touch ID set (on a 7S). I am running 12, haven’t done 13.1 and am hesitant after some of what I’ve seen here. No, haven’t tried braille screen input; if I can’t even type on the number pad, I don’t have much faith in being able to do Braille! (grin) I’d love to talk to you. Let’s figure out a time to do that. In iOS 13.1, go to Settings > Display Brightness to check your setting for Autolock. If you set it to Never. your phone will lock only if you push the side button to lock it yourself.I see no reason to have Apple lock it for me. 2. Go to Settings > Touch ID Passcode. If you have an iPhone 8 or older and have not done so, set up Touch ID. Then you can specify the things to use Touch ID for and one is Unlock Phone. If you have a newer phone with Face ID I cannot help. 3. I know what an excellent user of Braille you are. Have you worked at all with Braille Screen Input? I love it!! Many of us, including yours truly, have absolutely not masterred typing on that. Screen. If you want some help with BSI, I’ll call you and we can catch up. When I got my phone, I didn’t set up a passcode at first because I wasn’t sure I could dial the passcode on the phone itself. I’m still not good at this skill at all. When I updated to version 12, all of a sudden it comes up and asks for my passcode at random, and it seems like it’s more often than it was formerly. If I go to take the passcode away, Apple gets all excited and says it’s going to declare my phone a disaster area (smile) And before anyone says it, yes, I know the security risks of letting anybody and his brother into my phone. It’s one thing if it comes up and asks for the passcode and I’m at home where I can grab the blue tooth keyboard and key it’s in. It’s another thing if I’m out somewhere and go to use the phone, but it won’t let me in, and I have to try and type on the phone’s keypad, which I still have not mastered.
