Hi,

I think it's very likely to be a hoax. I've been getting similar messages that 
are supposed to be from Yahoo, but when I checked one yesterday, it was sent 
from a non-Yahoo address. I would suggest that your friend log into their 
account on the web, not by following a link in the message but by going to 
yahoo.com <http://yahoo.com/> or whatever their email address is. they can 
check on that page to see if there's actually a problem.
