In the Outlook for IOS app, you may have conversation view disabled, so that you have individual messages. I find the Calendar to be highly superior, as when you tap the Calendar Tab, you can just flick up with one finger, and all events are read beautifully. And, for even more fun, if you have an Office 365 account, you may now enable Cortana, tap on Play my Emails, and Cortana will gladly read you your messages, pausing long enough for you to skip to the next message, or reply to the current one. You cannot at this time send a new message using Cortana. Thanks.
