It does not have as distinct of a click, but as you said, it’s a good price and with Amazon if you unpack carefully and don’t like it you can always send it back. I think ultimately it’s one of those things where you have to try it because no amount of description helps here completely. I personally would probably use one of the wired DAS Keyboard 4 Perofessional if it weren’t for the convenience of switching to my iPhone simply by pushing the button, sorry, there are 2 buttons, one for USB and one for Bluetooth, not a slider as I first said. This keyboard also has 6 gaming keys vertically on the left, there is a noticeable gap between Control, Shift, Caps Lock, Tab and ~, but it take a bit of getting used to. If you get help and use the Logitech G-Hub software you can assign functions to these keys, e.g. you could assign Windows Key + M to the top one and pressing this then is equivalent to Windows Key + M which means you minimize to the desktop, you can also do Alt + F4 to exit applications or even more complicated ones, I have one programmed to do Windows Key + Alt + Number Row 5. I have Excel in the taskbar in position 5, Windows Key + 5 would always open Excel or take me there if it is open, Windows Key + Alt + 5 is the command to bring up the jumplist for Excel, I can then arrow down through a list of my recently used workbooks and I use this feature a lot. You could of course also program them so they do nothing so if you accidently touch one nothing at all happens.

I'll confess that I'm a big fan of old-school keyboards which have distinctive mechanical click feedback when pressing the keys and I'm still using an old IBM PC AT keyboard that I snagged from the trash where I used to work. This keyboard is a tank and was obviously over-spec'ed but I offer this up so you'll know the type of keyboard I'm used to using. I know you commented on the switches of this Logitech not being as nice as the other expensive keyboard you mentioned but I'm curious as to your opinion of its mechanical click feedback. I welcome any additional comments you could share about it before I order one. Thanks in advance. It has no backlighting, it uses a USB dongle for connectivity to the PC which has a 1 millisecond latency and you can pair it to your phone via Bluetooth which is also super responsive. Switching is done via a slider switch and it’s virtually instant. I use this keyboard as my main office keyboard, it is big and heavy and not something you would want to travel with and my only complaint is that it uses these Japanese switches called Roma-G, I wish it used Cherry MX Blue switches which I have on my wired keyboards from the company “Das Keyboard”, I have the model called Professional 4 and they are amazing, but also expensive. I have a smaller keyboard from Microsoft called the Microsoft Universal Mobile keyboard. It's compact and fairly rugged with a plastic rubber coated lid which doubles as a stand. You need to type in a code when pairing but once that's done, there's realy no lag. I don't know if it's still available for sale so you might have to chase that one with Ebay or something. The keyboard I'm typing on now is cheeper because it's a 60% mechanical keyboard from Keymove. They've made quite a splash in mechanical keyboard circles recently. I got mine for $50 Canadian on Amazon. You can choose the switch type you want. I like red linear switches. Other types have extra audible clicks and add more feel to typing. It only has 61 keys and you don't get multimedia controls. You do get an actual physical on/off switch on the bottom. The key for slash and question mark is tucked in the corner formed by the bottom and right arrows which takes time to get used to. There's no way that I've discovered to easly turn off the rgb lighting. You don't have to enter a number code when you pair it. The advantages are that it uses Bluetooth4 and reports the status of your battery to the battery widget in the Today view of your iOS device. Nice to be able to check the battery level. There's absolutely zero lag to contend with and the board doesn't feel cramped. It is somewhat noisy to type on so I only use it at home. I've just backed a Keychron K6 mechanical keyboard on Kickstarter. It has physical switches to change between wired, Bluetooth and off as well as one to switch between devices. It uses Bluetooth 3 but given the stellar reviews of their prior keyboards, I don't expect much lag. I went with red optical switches which should help deal with any lag if I'm wrong. This keyboard will also give me multimedia functions despite being a 65% keyboard. I'll also have home and end keys. Another keyboard I've tried was from Anker. It's quiet and compact. It also has multimedia keys. Doesn't report its battery level and unfortunately suffers from a smigion of lag. Just enough to be quite annoying at times. Otherwise, it's a really nice design for a travelling keyboard. Earlier, I backed a keyboard from Hexgears called the X1. Again, wonderful build quality and a pleasure to type on but absolutely horrid Bluetooth connectivity. I use it on my computer now but that one has to pretty much go in the loses column. It's very hard to get something which checks all the boxes. I have fairly high hopes for the Keychron K6 but as you can see, I've been wrong before. I'll have to wait quite a while before I think of taking another crack at that illusive perfect Bluetooth keyboard. It seems to be my holy grail. I suppose, if it injures my fingers to type on one, that could well change to being my Moby Dick. I can tell you that it certainly won't be my fountain of youth. My wife Sara and my parents have often exclaimed "Another keyboard!" in a manner which may well qualify for genuine horror. Perhaps, one of you will find that perfect keyboard and the quest can come to a glorious end. Meanwhile, best of luck to all who set out to find the perfect typing tool that surely must exist. The Logitech is great lightweight and able to pair with multiple devices / os's Feels nice to type On and simple to switch between different devices. And a hell of a lot cheaper to buy. Hpe this helps. -----Original Message----- From: viphone@googlegroups.com<mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com> <viphone@googlegroups.com<mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com>> On Behalf Of Robin Sent: Thursday, 23 January 2020 5:08 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com<mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com> Subject: Re: Bluetooth keyboard Yeah, I'm gonna Stay Tuned to "This Thread" as I'm interested in possibly addin' a BlueTooth KeyBoard (QUERTY KeyBoard) to use with My iPhone.
