I wouldn't recommend buying a new iPhone from a computer store you do business with. I'd recommend buying directly from Apple using the Apple Store app or going to an Apple Store. You can sign up to get the Apple Card which results in a 3% discount on the iPhone and it is unlocked and you can pay interest free over 24 months. They also let you trade in an existing iPhone. I'd also caution against believing everything you read on this list because a lot of misinformation is posted.
