I don't believe the text messages from groups that you want to delete are considered phone calls and will show there. That would make it easier to delete. What I get in messages is an info button then an option to delete or remove under more. I'm not sure that was the order of things. At one point it actually asked if I wanted to delete the conversation and I said yes, but I forgot to look for the done button. No matter which arrangement of moves I do, the number is still there aside from simply deleting it for the time being. I'm thinking the that the person who created the group list needs to redo it or delete and start over leaving those of us out of it that do not want to be in it. Otherwise maybe I can find the way to group all those numbers myself then delete them in one fell swoop. Here’s what I did that finally worked. I double-tapped the number or name at the top of the message from whom the message was sent. Then, I scrolled to the info button and double-tapped on it. There I got to a details screen where I once again double-tapped on the name or number of the person I wanted to block. This opened up a screen in my contacts list, probably the same one found under recents. I scrolled down to the bottom of the screen and found the block caller option. I double-tapped on that and then double-tapped in the appropriate place to confirm that I wanted to block the caller.
