Lift your finger and that takes you to the home screen. The same gesture, but at the third sound or second vibration will take you to the app switcher. It takes some practice, and if you start hearing the usual screen clicks you get with VoiceOver, you aren’t starting at the right place. It has to be a smooth slide.
