I've used Apple Music to put various play lists together and stream music. It takes time, but I've got around 10 play lists, some with hundreds of songs on them. I can add several songs or whole albums to my play lists. And, I don't have to deal at all with iTunes. There are settings in Music to download songs directly to your phone or store them in the cloud.
