Hi. I listened to a podcast that was reviewed on AppleVis years ago and got the app, Weather Radio. It has a paid Lightening Alert which was (and still is) $4.99 USD. You renew it every year. Although sometimes I miss the date, it still gives me alerts. It gives lightening at approx. 4 miles out and is very accurate in my case. i've been using it a very long time… Years; and have never been struct!
