Ron, I just discovered another way to stop the chime from interfering with other apps. Tap the volume button, up or down. Just one quick tap and the chime cuts out. Easier and quicker than the mute switch. I just tried that while listening to the BBC and the half hour chime began and the stream from the BBC went away, I tapped the volume button and the chime stopped immediately. HTH, Richard

I was working in Fleksy when I got cut out but I was told to flick the mute switch and it works but it's a pain. The developer wrote back to me to say he was fixing the adjustment to be separate for the quarter hour and the hour so it doesn't turn off if you want only the hour.
