For me battery life on my iPhone 8 seems similar, maybe a bit worse than before. However, I find that after upgrading my fifth generation Apple Watch to WatchOS 7 I now often run out of battery by 6 PM and that is with the battery fully charged to 100% at 8 AM. I did set up the sleep tracking and wonder if that is to blame, but I'm certainly not happy about that.
