There are a few people like that. Many experienced iOS users including myself
have and are criticising Apple plenty, but having been an iOS users and on this
list since 2009 I know that every year when a new major update of iOS is
released you get both sides, some who complain about the buggy software Apple
releases and how this should just not be so and others who defend it to the
point of being obessive.
The fact this happens every year just as surely as there is day and there is
night shows that neither extreme is useful. That is just like if somebody says
any software or product should only ever be released if it's perfect and every
concievable issue is resolved. Well, that will never happen and Apple engineers
themselves will neve rbe able to test to that extend whichis why there are
private and public beta programs. Oh, yes, Google or Microsoft or whatever
other company engineers also can't do this.

I’m sure not as critical as on apple. It amazes me the apple users don’t ever
criticize there lovely apple devices Apple does no wrong no matter the buggy
software they release year after year.

Then enjoy your new Android device, I'm sure in time you'll find bugs just as
serious and just as many.

I am done with crapple!!!! The released a bug that never should’ve got out the
door. You don’t hear notifications while on a call. This is a confirmed bug!
This is the second year in a row where they released something before it is
ready. Yes Android has its issues but at least you can hear the notifications
while on a call. Also in Android 11 you can do multi finger jesters.

Subject: 14 woes

I just caught up on several days of email. Things have been crazy here.

I never, never download an IOS update the day it comes out. I downloaded 14
yesterday and got a very unwelcomed surprise when my phone finished.

My iPhone 8 started up on the screen that appears the first time a new phone is
powered on. That happened to me once before shortly after I got my first
iPhone. I was on hold for almost 2 hours yesterday for an Apple Advisor and
finally Leon from WI answered my call. He very patiently walked me through the
fix and all seems right with the world. I haven’t accessed the media and
purchases screen but I did play with widgets a little. My apps seem to be okay.
I haven’t used all of my apps on the phone since I got 14 however. My phone did
jump around in the messaging and weather apps a bit. Now I know why.

I don’t understand why updates are released before they are ready. Companies
should wait until they have the updates right. Apple messed up this time.

I’ve never heard of DFU mode and I think it’s something I should forget about.
But, I’m going to save the article.

That’s it from here. Goodnight all!

Anne
