I am using my iPhone, because it works for me, if there ever came a day when it didn't work for me, then I'd look at other alternatives. I know that there are bugs especially when any new update comes out, and I'll wait just a bit until 14 becomes a little more stable. I'm learning new things about my iPhone all the time and I haven't even had my iPhone 8 for 2 years yet. I think I've had my iPhone 8 for a little over one year at this point.
