Whether there is a return shipping charge depends entirely on the seller. If
the order is fulfilled by amazon then typically there is no return shipping
charge. However, anybody can become an Amazon seller and sell products through
their website and opt to ship them directly. In that case if it's a small
company which can't afford to offer free shipping and free returns and all that
stuff there may very well be a return shipping fee. I have set up an Amazon
Seller account for my outdoor/hunting usiness primarily because I wanted to see
how well it would work to get rid of older inventory. The company who does my
website and shopping cart offers an integration with Amazon so all I would have
to do is set a flag in my point of sale system and the item would appear on
Amazon. So far I have not yet gone the final step, but I certainly could not
afford to offer free shipping and free returns especially since many of the
items I would list on Amazon would be already on sale. It's entirely up to the
seller what they offer.

If you are returning it for a legitimate reason, there is no charge for them to
pick it up.
