Yeah you still get the message on the phone or phones but the tone goes to the primary message receiving device which becomes the watch

IN my case, since I won’t likely ever be anywhere without the phone, I prefer it that way. Sometimes, the subtle vibration isn’t catching my attention. Weirdly, I’m getting it on my old phone, to which the watch is not paired, and which does not have a Sim card, although it is on the same Wi-Fi network as the watch and my phone that has a Sim card. But my real phone, the one I actually text with, no more message sound.
